Preachers at SOS Charity Home

In partnership with Face of Faith Pageant Africa, Preachers visited the Asiakwa S.O.S Children's Village on the 25th of January 2014 to show some love to the beautiful but less privileged children. It was a wonderful experience having to cook for them and see them exhibit their talents in the form of singing and dancing.

The day started with the crew: Face of Faith Pageant Maidens, Gospeltown Team and Preachers visiting each of the houses to socialize with the children as well as evangelize to them. We had the chance to listen to some of their stories which was the emotional part. We felt very humbled to be used by God to touch the lives of these young ones. The second part of our visit was the cooking bit which Obed Psych assisting with yam and kontomre sauce while Eddy and Emani assisted with Jollof rice and chicken. lol. But we will give most of the cooking credit to the Face Of Faith Maidens and Mama Dela. Even though played significant roles in the kitchen too.

The last but not least was the dinner/ entertainment session where we saw them enjoy the sumptious meals we prepared specially for them and Preachers ministered with songs like No Juju, E Dey Love Me and Go Hard. We also had the children perform some choreography and singing.

Most importantly, in the end many of these children gave their lives to Christ and we discovered great talent amongst them. The word of God says in Acts 20:35 that "In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.' We thank God Almighty for using us to touch the lives of the young ones.

Their Song - Go Hard which features Kumasi-based Gospel Rap Artist Christ Image, won the Most Wanted Rap Song of the year, an enviable award anyone would want for keeps.

Preachers were amazed when they were announced winners especially knowing that the Grammy award winner “Lecrae” was in that same category with his track “Boasting ft. Anthony Evans”.

Preachers dedicated the Award to the Holy Spirit and expressed their sincere gratitude to their lovely supportive fans and the Men of God behind them; Bishop Charles Agyin-Asare and Rev. Ben Sallah. They also indicated that the Award was yet another breakthrough for the Gospel Rap industry which has long been suppressed and kept in the underground.

The CCMA was awesome and we have to say thumbs up to Sunny FM, the Christian Council of Ghana and the Christian Community Micro Finance Ltd. for putting up such a great event. Bibles Up!!!
